What an incredible (yet also completely arbitrary) milestone.. 🙂 I’d say it is quite an accomplishment to have survived (and even thrived) for 40 years!! Only 200 years ago most people were dead by now! You’ve made so much of your life so far, grown immensely, touched many lives, succeeded in many ways personally and professionally.. and it feels like you’re really just beginning..

I felt very compelled to give this gift to you.. I’d thought about trying to do this for awhile, but I’ve never been able to write something like this before.. but once I actually sat down to write something it came out so easily.. when you spoke of the sadness you felt when reading the Odyssey, unsure if that sort of love is possible these days.. that lingered in me a lot.. I believe something that special is possible.. and I wanted a way to show you that my love for you transcends the ordinary..
